It is an educative workshop carried out by prestigious professionals on environmental audio-visual issues. During this activity they will discuss the different aspects involved in environmental cinema production and distribution. Invited professionals will share their experience, having conversations with assistants and analysing their environmental films.

Sound technician, during production and post-production, specialized in nature sounds.
Author of a sound file that records Spanish, African, Amazonian and Indian fauna. He has also recorded traditional activities sounds, as well as the main soundscapes of the Iberian and Canarian territories.

 

This year, in the 11th edition, he was awarded with Premio Fundación BBVA on biodiversity conservation, within a category related to knowledge and awareness diffusion on Spanish biodiversity conservation. He also obtained Premio Ones of Fundació Ones Mediterrània in 2017.

 

In July 2006 he was nominated for an Emmy award, within the section News & Documentary, thanks to a National Geographic EXPLORER proposal.

Degree in Information Science (UAB, Barcelona). He holds a photography diploma at London College of Printing (London, UK). Photojournalism Godó award. He has published nearly 12 books about wild fauna, nature and environmental issues. His last book “Durmiendo con Lobos” (2014) deals with free Iberian wolf. Among his former books, “La Mirada Salvaje” compiles pictures of more than hundred wild animals.

 

His pictures are used by mass media such us La Vanguardia, El País, National Geographic, Geo, BBC Wildlife, Newsweek and Sunday Times. His works have been exhibit within many individual and collective expositions in Spain, Portugal, Italy, England and Korea. His exposition “El Ártico se rompe” stands out, produced by Obra Social La Caixa.

 

His film “El Viaje de Unai” filmed over more than a year in natural spaces around the world, is considered an adventure documentary whose main story is built between his family and the wild animal’s habitat in a touching and personal way.
