Francisco León y Molina was the first director of Agrupación Musical de Garachico, followed by Manuel Plasencia, Pedro Antonio Pérez Delgado and Antonio Jesús Gutiérrez de León. Established as a Cultural Association, it brings together the Concert Band, Chamber Choir, Fanfare Ensemble and the Garachico Artistic Training Space. In addition to performing in Tenerife, the band has toured other Canary Islands and Venezuela, notably performing at the Ateneo de Caracas in 1988. The band is committed to original compositions by Canary Islands composers and has premiered works such as the piece commissioned from Sergio Rodríguez for the 300th anniversary of the volcanic eruption, as well as the anthem for R. C. D. Gara in 2012. Since 2013, its headquarters has been named “Casa de la Música – Pedro Antonio Pérez Delgado.”
