Synopsis
Doñana is the portrait of a wild landscape—the largest natural reserve in Europe—a place where the migratory routes of more than 300 avian species cross paths as they come and go with the changing seasons. It is the story of a forest growing around the marsh formed between the Atlantic Ocean and the banks of the Guadalquivir River, which is home to some of the most endangered wildlife species on the planet. It is a place where periods of bounty are followed by long stretches of scarcity… a place where water is sacred.
Carmen Rodríguez, is a director, screenwriter, and producer from Cádiz. She has worked for Wanda Natura alongside Joaquín Gutiérrez Acha on some of the most important nature productions shot in Spain. Doñana is her latest production and her first film as a director.
