Synopsis
For over 50 years, national and international oil companies have been extracting crude oil from the most biodiverse region of the Amazon rainforest, putting the lives of Indigenous communities at risk—with the complicity of the Ecuadorian government. These areas have become known as “sacrifice zones.”
Nagore Eceiza is a director, editor, director of photography and colorist. She founded El Santo Films, where she produces documentaries and offers technical services for film, television, and other audiovisual productions. She is closely aligned with the social documentary genre and has participated in film productions in Newfoundland, the Ecuadorian Amazon, Cape Verde, Paris, Algeria, Israel, Ethiopia, Angola, Mozambique, Mexico, India, and Puerto Rico.
