Synopsis
Takumi lives with her daughter Hana in a village near Tokyo. A campsite is going to be built next to their home, so that city dwellers can enjoy comfortable nature getaways. The project is going to negatively impact the local water supply and jeopardize the ecological equilibrium of the area.

He gained international recognition with Happy Hour (2015), Special Mention at Locarno. In 2021, he released Drive My Car, which was awarded at Cannes, Toronto or San Sebastian. This film received three Academy nominations (film, director and adapted screenplay), winning the Oscar for Best International Feature Film.
